Adding onto TLo's "translating the trends"

Tom & Lorenzo have spent some time recently suggesting ways to translate runway trends to one's wardrobe. So far they've done Leopard, Plaid, and Purple.

They stick to accessories, so I went & found one item of clothing in each category that I would rock so hard. Thoughts? What would you pick?

I love reading Tom and Lorenzo's blog too. Here are my items that I'm looking forward to wearing in the fall. I don't have any "traditional" leopard in anything but accessories, but I have a blue leopard pencil skirt that I love, not this exact one - there's more white in the background on mine.

Today they are showing bold, bright yellow and I just happen to be wearing my bright yellow jeans.

I love today's yellow post, Linda! I used to have the greatest pair of yellow mid-heels that I wore to pieces. I have such trouble thinking of how to wear yellow as a main piece, though. I had a v-neck cotton sweater in a muted gold-yellow once, but I passed it on because I rarely wore it.

I'd LIKE to say I'd wear the first top below, or the sweater, but realistically I'd MAYBE wear the Nike top while biking....

Huge Tom and Lorenzo fan, here! Their movie and TV reviews totally crack me up, and, thanks to them, I've gained a huge appreciation for the costume designers.

Ah, now I see it! Thanks! I went right into the leopard looks, and immediately was smitten by the accessories they picked. I have my Michael Kors leopard raincoat all set to go for fall, but need a few leopard accessories for other looks, so this saved me lots of research.

And then in the yellow section, those Kate Spade flats that look like taxi cabs blew my hair way, way back. Pretty darn awesome!

Thanks for the tip re: Tom and Lorenzo. Just clicked through and spent 5 minutes reading their review of Netfilx's Stranger Things and it was a really smart and well-written review. Now I can't decide if I should actually watch.... but I am definitely heading back to T&L for more pop culture updates.
