Ok...just so I get this...Not shopping in September for anything but a slip...check...Have enough in wardrobe at present time...check...Want to buy quality not junk...check...What did I miss?...I will love and appreciate your very sincere efforts and will not refer to this post if the most impossible item appears that will solve all your fashion woes...and you (blush) succumb...

For me personally, it's one thing to think it to myself - usually doomed to fail, and I know it. But when I put it in writing, that's when I have a chance of following through on whatever the promise is. I applaud you for thinking it through and planning it out like this.

Thanks maisphk! I thought long and hard before I went to Forum with this

It's Day Three and so far so good lol

Bumping this up as a reminder to you as to what your strategy is going forward. Do those shoes fit into your strategy?

Great post. I really like your approach, Deborah. I said I would do Aesthetic, Ascetic August but did not succeed. There were some things in the back of my mind that I knew I wanted, and so I kept looking for them (oxfords are the big one, and they are a want, not a need). I don't know that I'll join you this month, since I bought a couple of things yesterday and am still looking for oxfords and for an end-of-season deal on sandals to replace one pair that got a little shabby with all the wear this summer. But that kind of is in keeping with your philosophy, so I could participate. In any case, I'll support you!

Sterling.. thank you! The shoes really aren't even in my colour scheme!! They are the true leopard tones, which I don't really wear:)

Appreciate the support Firecracker... Day Four and counting.
