I stopped by the consignment store to drop off a bag of stuff. While I was signing in, a woman my age and someone I assume was her mom came in. They came straight up to me and said, "We HAVE to know who does your hair! We were driving by and saw you walking, so we drove around the block to come here and ask you about it."

I WAS FLOORED.

They kept on gushing about the color and how the peacock effect was so beautiful, and when I told them my stylist isn't taking new clients they begged for the name of the salon. Then they told me I was the cutest thing they'd seen and left the store. Then of course other shoppers started talking to me about it.

Flattering, right? I think I handled it okay - they were so sweet and not obviously unhinged (well, but who follows someone into a store to ask about their hair?). But would you ever do this? And how would you handle it? I'm still a bit taken aback!
