I've been MIA from the web for a couple weeks and am just starting to get caught up after returning from vacation last week. (Off topic: I actually went to Disneyworld for the first time ever with some friends, and it was a blast! I posted a couple of my favorite photos here if you're interested.)

Since then, I've been trying to get caught up with what I missed, gearing up for the holidays, and dealing with the chilly (now simply rainy) weather in our area.

Here's a catch-up summary of what I've been wearing during the previous week:
Last week through Monday and Tuesday/Wednesday this week.

Hope that all of you are well, and I look forward to getting caught up on the changes that have taken place on YLF in the past couple weeks. The store content looks incredible, and I'm amazed at how many great guest posts have been posted on Angie's blog. I've missed interacting with you all!

Kari, you look SO GOOD in skirts and dresses. I have that same Classiques Entier sheath dress, and I wish I looked half as good in it as you do.

I really like the very first outfit with the skirt, blue top, jean jacket, and purple (?) boots. Very polished while also interesting.

Wait, I just realized that TODAY IS YOUR BIRTHDAY, right? Happy Birthday!

Medusa, thanks for the birthday wishes! Yes, yesterday was my birthday.
I really think you look awesome in your Classiques Entier sheath dress too. You looked lovely in the picture you posted of it this summer. (Have you worn it recently?)

(The first outfit the boots are actually chocolate brown - I was using my cell phone camera which doesn't capture colors as well indoors compared to natural light outside, so it came out looking pretty purple in the photo.)

It's great to see your outfits again. My favourites are the green Banana Republic coat (what a fantastic colour!!), that grey sheath dress (it fits you perfectly and I LOVE the unique collar), the outfit with the moto jacket, and that white button-down looks stunning on you too.

Love the Disney post. It’s been 13 years since I was there myself. Simply divine!

Monday’s outfit with the black pencil skirt, denim jacket and teal scarf is KILLER. But all your outfits show flair and a lady-like quality which is hard to replicate. It’s how you carry yourself and your smile that’s the cherry on the top!

And you should be Carissa’s model. That button-down is so delicious I can’t stand it. I hope you get the black too.

Thanks, Jenny! I actually noticed that while I was browsing through your pictures - I think you have narrower proportions than I do, but there are a lot of similarities. I'll have to keep an eye on what you post as well and see how we can inspire one another!

I did mention the black Carissa shirt as a suggestion for my mom when she was probing for Christmas/birthday gift ideas. If it doesn't appear under the tree this year, it's definitely remaining on my "to purchase" list for 2010. It's fantastic to have a perfectly fitting woven shirt, and black will be even easier because I won't have to worry as much about spilling on or staining it as I do with the white.

I love the green coat(so special colour!) and the grey seath dress, pieces that will have so much use of it! But other outfits are great, too! Keep on doing well, Kari!:-)

Thanks, Louise and Lyn! (Yes, I certainly hope that the green coat, which was a birthday present two years ago, and the grey sheath will gets lots of long-term use. I'm slowly but surely learning the meaning of "investment pieces.")
