On the topic of using age and experience to one's advantage: I loved this article about Alessandra Ferri, a 53-year-old ballerina. It is a beautiful story.
She "retired" almost 10 years ago, but continues to dance in productions. She notes, "I have gone back to the pure joy of what I feel when I dance.”
