Here's my latest collection of outfits. I'd like honest feedback, you're not going to hurt my feelings.

1. May 4th, worn to the movies

Originally wanted to wear the top with yellow cardi over, but couldn't get it to look right. I love the black/white/light yellow combo, but have never been able to make it work. So this is my b/w look instead. What about the length of this crop? yes or no?

Tried to make this one short for you guys. There's more pics in the set with details of accessories and shoes, if you're interested.

I love your spunky style!
Those jeans would be good with heels, but are they long enough?
The length of those crops looks a bit long to me, but it's an easy fix. Everything else is really adorable.

i think i need a refresher on PPL and will be looking at that entry again for the jeans length.

how short should i go with the crops, do you think?

I think if i remember rightly crops should be just under the knee and no longer than the widest part of your calf x

Edit: am thinking the shorter a person the shorter the crop should be?

Hi, Amy. "Spunky" certainly fits your style.
I was going to ask if you'd read Angie's entry on PPL, but I see you've covered that. The jeans look too short for heels and the cropped pants are at a length that shortens your legs but can be fixed.
The dress is cute with leggings and I have a weakness for prints like that. Have you played with the length of the cardi? It may look better scrunched up so it hits higher and closer to your waist or use a shorter cardi. How does the white cardi in the last photo look with that dress?
The only other thing that strikes me is that you may want to wear a white cami under the white blouse in the last picture. Angie has a blog entry on this. I'll see if I can find it. You are lucky to be able to wear puffy sleeves. A yellow bag would be cute with this.

I'll take "spunky" as a definite compliment! Thank you!! I think finally my outside is beginning to match my inside creativity and spunkiness.

As for the dress, I bought it with a much longer cardi in a light green (which i can't make work anymore...that's for another post). The white cardi is exactly the same as the black one, I got a good deal ($5 for each, I also have it in lime green and coral! lol). I will play with the length of the cardis. Thanks for the input!

For the last pic, I threw this on this morning to take a picture of it, but when I wore it out of the house, I did wear a white tank underneath!

I'm on the hunt for some awesome yellow shoes. I'm particular about the color yellow...want more butter, less neon.

Love the layering on the first outfit!

Cute dress in the second! Perhaps you could just button one of the buttons rather than all? Or, try a cropped cardigan, if you have one.

Like you, i LOVE the third outfit! love the use of different colors!

I don't particularly like the length of the capris in the last outfit. i know angie is not a fan of this length: http://youlookfab.com/2007/04/.....-be-risky/ and I'd have to agree. but, i love the top half!

Amy, I don't have more to add, just wanted to chime in that you have terrific legs and would look great in skirts and dresses. Not that you don't look good in pants. I would like to see the dress outfit with a shorter cardi (or maybe some undone buttons).

I will be looking into getting those capris shortened, definitely.

And dresses/skirts are on my list to buy (but no more maxi dresses, Angie...I promise! lol).

To be honest, I tend to shy away from anything that shows my legs in the summer because I am so pale and live near a beach where tan is 'in'. And tights let me show my legs in fall/winter without showing how pale I am. I didn't realize until just now how uncomfortable my porcelain skin makes me (and I've tried self-tanners, with no real luck). This is something I'm going to have to just get over because I love dresses!

Amy, take it from a gal who’s skin is SO white it’s virtually blue (me). Un-tanned white skin rocks as much as tanned skin. It’s just a different look, no better or no worse – just different. Enjoy your pale complexion and show off those gorgeous legs!

Amy, I am late to the party and don't have anything to add that hasn't already been said, but I want to echo that I LOVE the third look! It will absolutely rock when PPL is taken into account. I adore the way you mixed different shades of purple, indigo and blue AND your short haircut is so edgy and cute. I also love the second dress and leggings and agree that a cropped cardigan would be very fun to see.

I am also a pale girl who has given up on tanning or self-tanning (especially after some bad sunburns and being on medication that makes me even more sun-sensitive.) I have girlfriends who are even paler that don't tan, either. Your skin looks beautiful, especially with the bright colors you're wearing here, and you aren't showing off an awfully large amount of skin in these outfits anyway!

Amy I love your dress with the leggings and cardie. Agree that pulling the cardie up a tad or leaving it a bit more unuttoned might be the way to go. Lovely look on you though!

Your haircut is amazing!! Love the 3rd look too - so vibrant!!
