2 questions re: tunic top and white leather

1. What else could you wear a flowy tunic like this http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/ci.....tback=1273 with (other than skinnies)? I think it's gorgeous and I love the way the turquoise peeks out. Could you pair it with a black pencil skirt?

2. Can you wear a white leather jacket in the winter (like a cropped moto or asymmetrical type? I'm intrigued by the idea but wonder if it would just look silly.

Oops, I hit post before I was done:

1. I think it could potentially be a great top to "de-bombshell" a pencil skirt, especially because of the way that it's cut quite high in the front.

2: I certainly do! I have a cream moto that I love to wear over dresses in the winter, like with my Bailey 44 dress.

I think it would work with a black pencil skirt or slim straight maxi. I think the right kind of white looks fab in winter so yes the white leather would work.

Yes for white in winter and I would absolutely pair that with a pencil skirt or skinnies. Beautiful tunic!

I think that any streamlined piece would work underneath, and pieces that are structured would work on top!

1. YES!!! It will be gorgeous with a pencil skirt...with my yellow pencil skirt...restrain Sveta!!
2. I wear my cream corduroy blazer in winter all the time. Optic white may be hard to pair with other winter hues but cream or off-white should be fine.

Sveta - it would look stunning with your yellow pencil skirt. I suspect for me being so short, this tunic would be rather overwhelming though...I do think it's a beauty however...

Tunic could definitely be worn with a slim skirt underneath. It's a really pretty top! If the top seems too long for the skirt, something that works for me is belting it loosely which raises the eye.

I think you could definitely wear a white leather jacket in the winter. I would want it to be fairly snug for practicality reasons, since you probably want to be able to wear a wool coat or puffer over it for outdoors. I'm planning to wear the lightweight white blazer I just bought into the fall and maybe even winter, so I don't see why leather would be any different.

May have to head back to Danier Leather - they had a couple of cropped white moto leather jackets in clearance in my size.

You know what? I'd try that tunic over your slouchy silk pants! Great volume-on-volume pairing, just add a belt to the pants to accentuate the waist (I think it may well peek out given the cut of the shirt). AND you could layer it over a dress as a sort of lightweight poncho in fall. Until then, wear with clams? Would also be fab with the new boyfriend shorts and a statement pendant I think.

I wear white in winter --- lots of people do around here. Summers are hot and humid, hence messy for whites --- you need 'privilege' to wear a lot of white in summer, or willingness/budget to get refresh your whites every season or every other season (that used to be the norm for the sheer embroidered shirts we all wore in summer, growing up; wonder how many still do that). Pricier whites --- like wool and silk --- are typically reserved for the cool (so not as sweaty) and dry (so streets not as messy) winters, and it actually looks spare and serene, as winter should in my head; don't see why the same shouldn't apply to leather.
