100% Fantasy Me

Alaskagirl has a great thread going on images that convey the fantasy you http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....antasy-you. I responded and then found this Ralph Lauren ad in the September Elle and my jaw dropped. I NEVER see an entire ensemble in a magazine, or Pinterest etc. that speaks to me like this one did. Every piece, all of it. So I got to thinking, I wonder if any of you have the same experience when perusing fashion sites and magazines? Or am I in the minority in that I may see 1 or 2 thinks in a big Fall edition that knock my socks off?

How fun is that? This happens to me all the time. In fact, a friend saved some pics for me from a magazine that I still have 15 years later for this reason - will post them on the other thread!

Love your photo & yes I don't see much that I love without reservation. There is usually something about the styling that isn't right for me - often it's the heels

That is a really beautiful outfit. Nope, I don't often see a look that I love every piece of and also looks like something I would wear and would be very me. Although I see lots of ideas I could riff on.

These two looks I found while looking for plaid ideas I really loved though -- and found very inspirational for expressing the more modern and more retro/romantic parts of my style I want to work with more.

Ok here are my pics which are more relevant here - they are from a fashion magazine I can't identify from at least 12 years ago (because pre-kid), when I actually looked a bit like this. These spoke to me and still do - maybe because the model was superficially like me with her skin tone and crazy long hair.
