Marianne and Inge are spot on. However, I'll offer a different suggestion: Since wrap dresses CAN stand so well on their own (you can accessorize, but you really don't need to do much except add either a cami or a beautiful necklace), I'd advise against a neutral color, and would go either with a print or with a color that is one of your "signature colors" and flatters you really well.

I'm not against neutrals at all, but I'm not sure a dress is the right piece of clothing to purchase in a neutral color. A dress in a flattering color or print and a terrific cut can stand by itself and will never look boring or scream for the addition of an accessory.

I second Marianne's suggestion.

Also: denim jackets, blazers, (cropped) cardis.
Or instead of a scarf you could wear a (chunky) necklace or a pair of fun earrings and a bracelet.

Scarf and jacket, definitely. I am no expert, but did you see Hannah's thread from a while back with a couple of wrap dresses?

First of all - sorry I'm posting so many questions recently! i want to make sure that I don't make anymore purchases that I'm going to regret, and my closet is pretty empty from my clean out.

I'm looking for basic building blocks for work - one of the things I've been meaning to get is a wrap dress in a neutral color. I was thinking about this one:

http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/30.....ps7ag_eQhA

How can one accessorize/style a wrap dress for different looks? Can you add a scarf? A jacket? A cardigan? For some reason, I feel like it's hard to do different things with a wrap dress, even though I know that it's a versatile basic.

Thanks!
