Makes perfect sense, Anne. I have a friend who feels exactly the same way about her low rise jeans. You've got to make a style work for you :0)

Anne - I have discovered that low rise jeans have been a perfect briding piece for me as I transition from first trimester to second trimester (and beyond). Just as you stated, the low rise jeans do not irritate the bump and don't cut into me.

I have been in favour of higher rises. I am long waisted, I don't like worry about anything showing when I bend over, I don't like the almost inevitable digging in on the side of my hips that means I only wear low rise with tunics, etc

But

I do have one pair of low rise jeans because I couldn't find high rise skinnies and I have found that they are great on days when I have a sore or bloated tummy which is too sensitive to my normal higher rise jeans. They cut across so low there isn't any disturbance. And because the sides of the jeans are on the hip bones it isn't cutting in to soft parts of me. I still have to wear a tunic, but those are the sort of days when I'd want to wear that anyway.
