My local EB didn't have any dresses in stock. However, they did have a tunic top that was the same print & color as the smocked knit print dress. It was really beautiful and did not seem to be sized big at all and seemed quite fitted for a tunic top. I'm not sure how this would translate to dresses but I did love the print.

I agree that they used to run big. Most of the styles I had were wrap dresses that are more adaptable. Now that I'm many sizes smaller I doubt I'll fit into any of these, especially because of my bony chest area and the way these are styled with V or low scooped necks. Thanks to you I've found that a high necked sheath is much more flattering.

Thanks, Joy. Let us know what the dresses are like if you decide to give them a bash. I haven't had EB garments on clients for two years. What’s their fit like these days? They used to run really big.

Joy-
Thanks for posting! I love the belize embroidered dress & the pintuck dress. Now, I know that the horizontal band around the waist doesn't work for me, and I know brown isn't my best color...and I still might order the dress to try it on because I love it and maybe, just maybe, it will be different from other dresses with a horizontal band around the waist. Perhaps this is why I end up returning so many clothes!!

Since several are looking for washable cool summer dresses that aren't so short, you might check Eddie Bauer. They featured several in both woven and knit fabrics in the newest catalogue (Summer Book 2009). Scroll down past the maxidresses. Most are offered in more than one color or print and in reg, petite and tall sizes. I've liked their dresses in the past and they washed beautifully, but I haven't tried any of these yet. Our local store doesn't carry dresses.
