I love the sweater on you Aj! I do prefer it with the jeans, and I like the idea of wearing it over a shirt! I like the skirt, it's very cute, but it is a bit big, so I would take it in.

Aj - Very nice. I like them both. However, I don't like the skirt with the sweater. It is much better with the jeans. When you look at the two pictures, you look much more svelte in the picture with the jeans and the sweater. Maybe that assessment will change after you've had the skirt altered.

I think you need something a little more fitted with the skirt. I would love to see you pull out the camel color stripe with your top.

I really like the skirt. I think it's a great length, and terrific pattern and color. I think it's worth having it taken in. I like where the slit lands--it gives it a little bit of cheekiness.

I prefer the sweater with the jeans and shirt under. I think it might be a bit too long to wear with a skirt. Also the neckline looks more natural to me with the collar underneath.

Great finds!

I'm not sure about the slit on the side of the skirt -- I kept wanting to put it at the back but given the placement of the tags in the skirt, it is supposed to be on the left front. I really like the colors of the plaid and it was only $20 so I figured it was worth buying and and deciding if it will work.

The sweater is really beautiful and I like it both with skirts and jeans.

As laura i'm not sure about the skirt but it might be because of the fit because the pattern is nice.

aj, I love how you layered a button-down under the sweater. Really nice look and I bet you will be cozy warm in Eastern Europe in it.

I am not sure about the skirt, but I think that the fit is off as you mentioned, and that might be throwing me.

I've had my eye on that sweater (in emerald) for a while now, and since I've seen you and Tanya wear yours, I want it even more;-)

You look amazing in it, and I like it a lot with the red shirt as well aj!

Lovely skirt as well. It seemed a bit loose in the hip area, but then I read you were going to have it taken in.
At first glance, I didn't realise it was a Winter skirt, because of the lighter colours, but I do like the idea of wearing lighter coloured bottoms in Winter. It makes for different and fun outfits. Have you tried it yet with your beautiful burgundy cropped cardigan?-)

I want to add a few heavier wool items to my wardrobe for my winter in north eastern Europe. Here are two pieces I bought recently and want to get your opinion on whether they are keepers.

Plaid Caslon wool skirt from consignment store ($20) -- I might need to have it taken in a bit, but want to know first if this style skirt suits me

Design History gray cashmere wrap sweater on sale and with Shiny's coupon from Bluefly -- shown with skirt and with jeans and button-front shirt; would probably wear it over a scoop neck or turtleneck top.

http://s514.photobucket.com/al.....Winterize/
