Tricky. Something in the spirit of this jacket that Debra Messing's wearing, perhaps, with an open neckline to show that beautiful detail?

Very pretty dress! I share your frustration with short sleeves. I second the suggestion of a long sleeve scoop neck tee or a turtleneck. From the picture is looks like you might be able to make this neckline work with some v-neck cardigans, but you've probably tried that already.

This is a tough one, but I can see why you want this dress to work. Maybe it's a matter of finding the right cardi or jacket with some extra room in the shoulders. I suspect that it will be easier to find a cardi than a jacket unless the jacket is quite soft and unstructured. Have you tried a jersey waterfall cardi with the front hanging longer than the back (or one with a longer back, shorter front)? Maybe something with raglan sleeves or kimono style would work for you over the existing sleeves.
Good luck.

I've had luck treating short-sleeved dresses as top layers for long-sleeved knits. I like a scoop-necked cotton tee under a dress with a lower scoop--it adds warmth as well as visual interest. I find that a knit fits better and feels more comfortable than a shirt with a collar. With sleeves that are longer than cap length, like the ones on your dress, you have to experiment to see how it looks.

I don't have any new ideas since you already tried jackets and cardis. Just wanted to say it's a fab dress! Looks comfy too. I totally agree with you about the sleeves. And to me short sleeved dress is even harder to layer than sleevless dresses. For sleevless dresses, besides cardis and jackets, you can also wear button downs and long sleeved shirts under them.

Your little girl is so cute!

That dress is so pretty on you. Your little one is so cute too, peeking around the corner.
I have to agree with you on the complaint about no sleeves on winter dresses. What's up with that?
Hmm, this dress is so cute. I hope you can find something on the AT website to go with it. It seems like they make things to go together.

First of all, can I ask a question to no one in particular? Why oh why can't manufacturers put a full or at least a 3/4 sleeve on a winter dress????? With that out of my system, can you ladies help me style this? I just received this ATL dress (online exclusive) and adore it. Unfortunately I'm having a problem styling it. The embellished collar of the dress bunches up under my cardis and blazers. I WANT TO KEEP THIS and wear it as a day dress but what to wear over it? Thanks in advance ladies!
