I agree with Maya that a jacket always looks professional, but I would also consider pairing the pants with e.g. a black button-down shirt and a sweater vest with V-neck, or a waistcoat. I know I can get away with a lot in my field, but I think they should be fine for almost anyone as long as it's not a very conservative suit type of interview. </p> <p>I have it paired with a white jacket and plum cowl neck top. I just personally like to have a jacket for an interview. Cardigans and other layering techinques don't have the same effect IMO.
