I'm not expert either but I think it looks great. The color of the jacket and the tee really complement one another very well.

Lucy, the jacket is not velvet. It's just poly blend. I got it at Marshalls for (get this) TEN BUCKS!!! It was on clearance. I really wasn't looking for a jacket, but I thought it was worth the $10. I can also get double duty out of this jacket since I can wear casually with the graphic Tee and with a collared shirt to work.
Maya, I deleted the picture of the jacket worn open because I just looked goofy in it. I will probably leave it open because it's more comfortable.

Thanks everyone for your input. Don't know what I'd do w/out you all!

Oh and Lucy, I mailed Ana's shoes today.

I like the jacket on you! I love those colors together. I think it looks very modern. I also just have to say that you are looking more and more beautiful in every picture!

Another vote to keep the jacket. It looks like it fits well, a good look with the tee and could be casual or dressy depending on what you pair with it. I like that the pockets are slanted.

I really like the jacket (I love grey!). The fit looks good to me. I like the necklace and tee as well.

I personally think you look really nice. I'm not a jacket expert either though, and still struggle with them. It looks right to me. How do you feel?
I love your necklace, and I love your walls. My guest room is painted what appears to be the exact same color. :D

I have become incapable of making decisions on what works for my upper body--especially when I'm delving into new territory (like blazers).

Anyway...I picked up this grey blazer--does it fit me properly and does it work with the graphic tee option?

I also got this new necklace--I think it's tied for first place with my favorite oversized dark green one. I have it on in the photo above, but here's a close up of the stone.
