I am doing the challenge too, and was SO DELIGHTED when I re-read that hosiery was not part of the items. The weather is so funky here this week I think we are going to veer from stockings to bare legs and back, and I may need more than one pair of hose.

I also made some changes to my capsule with today's choices, but I am keeping everything on separate hangers on an addition to my closet so I keep it all together and use what I swapped in. We had a drastic change in temperature overnight!

actually she did follow her rules. LOOK at the picture of her shoes and her outfit= the color just turned out wonky in her group picture. They ARE grey clarks with a tan band. As for the tights- she said HOSIERY and UNDERGARMENTS do NOT count :)

I ws reading TSFomL this morning to see what her outfit would be, and I noticed that she did not follow her own rules. She is wearing tights and shoes that are not part of her capsule!
This is a great exercise for packing light. I could go a whole other week and not repeat outfits, but I would get bored of accessories LOL

Bella, I work from home, with only occasional trips to the office. Heck, when I do go to the office, jeans are perfectly fine. So that's one of the reasons I love this challenge: it gives me the perfect excuse to wear dressier clothes than I might normally wear during the week... which seem silly if you are just hanging around home telecommuting or work in a casual office!

I did consider maybe I should pick a 5-day stint which included the weekend, as I'm more likely out and about doing stuff on weekends. But I decided to give myself an excuse to dress up during the week. And while working through my strategy, I realized I could extend this challenge another 2-3 days if I wanted. It's fascinating how many outfits you can get out of just 15 pieces.

I really want to do this but I am still pretty sick and I don't have a lot of energy. I might have to stay home for a couple days next week as well. In that case, I will just start a little late. I'm so excited for this challenge. This is going to be fun!

How are we doing this? Do we have to say upfront what our 10 pieces and 5 accessories are before the start?

Also, do stud earrings count in the 5 accessories? I'm debating whether to skip earrings next week and add a purse or a scarf instead for the 5th!

And I'm assuming "umbrella" doesn't count.... right? Because rain is in the forecast here.

I might be willing to play along if I can get a few essential maternity items this weekend. I should make my final decision by Saturday night. I hate that I am waiting so late...but I suppose late is better than never?

Thanks for posting up the rules. I think I might cheat a little bit and have a coat as an extra item that isn't counted in the overall ten as I live in such a rainy place. It hasn't rained here for a few weeks but the weather is forecasted to turn really bad next week so I'll need a raincoat.

Okay I think I'm in.... barring any weird weather fluctuations, I think I can do this. I've got a plan tentatively mapped out... and I need a challenge.

Except that I've been having fun stocking up on Fall stuff lately, and this will prevent me from wearing some of my new pieces for a week... that will be tough!

I will have to see what our weather is like. I should just commit, but I'm so non-comittal. I probably only wore 10 items in the last week, anyway LOL It's been around 100 all week, so it's- dress, sandals, necklcace....dress, sandals, necklace.....
Even if I don't play, I will have fun seeing what others come up with.

Shiny, accessories are extra. Here are the rules:

Choose ten items of clothing from your wardrobe and mix and match them for five days between Monday September 28th and Friday October 2nd.
You can have any combination of shoes, dresses, skirts, tops and jackets as long as it adds up to ten individual items.
You are also allowed five accessories which include jewellery, scarves,bag, belts etc.
Underwear and hosiery do not come under the ten items and five accessories!
As it’s only autumn in the Northern hemisphere your are not permitted an extra coat.
If you want to wear a coat this must come out of your ten items.

I am definitely thinking about playing along! It will be *quite* a challenge, but I think I can make it work & have been brainstorming what kind of capsule items would be most versatile.
