Nude, black and colors to blend with boots (like brown or grey) would be a great place to start. There are so many options in the hose departments this fall that it's overwhelming. You might start by putting outfits complete with footwear together and then accessing your needs. If you get cold, you may want leggings instead or thicker tights.

Do you have boots? I'd get a pair in the same color as any boots that you have.

Okay - now that it's getting colder, it's time to revamp my hosiery collection.

It seems that the basics would be micro-fishnets and patterned hose.

I'd like to start with just the basics (i.e. neutral colors). Do you all suggest nude and black for both micro-fishnets and patterned hose? Both nude and black would work with my current dresses and skirts. I'm not ready to commit to bright colors yet.

Thoughts on brands? I think I've seen a recommendation for DKNY micro-fishnets. What are the thoughts on Spanx for both fishnets and patterned hose?

Thanks, everyone! Everytime I update my wardrobe based on your suggestions, I feel I'm one step closer to my true style, and that feels great!
