Ana - I do think we learn by trial and error! But sometimes we want a shortcut to a style that is our own.Accessories make outfits that much more special.I know what I don't like:earings(when I put them on I feel like a christmas tree),necklaces,rings(when I shampoo clients hair,they get in the way)

So you know I'm so happy that I have my new specs!

And also I have to get myself a fab wrist watch,do you have any suggestions?
Do you think it should go with my new glasses or not.

Ana - completely gorgeous outfits all week. My favorite is the Black and Cobalt...but I would copy every one of them if I could!

I can't wait for your weather to cool off so I can copy your "fall" style. In Minnesota we are only getting into the 40s already.......brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Rena, that's a good question, thanks for asking. I've mainly learned to accessorize through trial and error. Because I usually wear varying necklines, I have found that I really like bracelets and rings best. Through trial and error, I figured out that I like cuff bracelets, because they are the most comfortable to wear. Unlike bangles, cuffs are usually more flexible, or they are already in kind of an oval shape, whereas bangles are almost always stiff circles. When I rest my arms on a desk in class taking notes, the bangles dig into my wrist. Plus, the jangle around and make a lot of noise if you are wearing more than one. So, I just never buy or wear them. I also like rings, so I buy cocktail sized rings almost exclusively, because they are just more noticeable. I have a few accessories that are "statement" pieces, so if I wear one of those, I don't wear any other jewelry, and if I wear a scarf, I keep it more subdued. But I have a larger gold cuff bracelet that I wear a lot. It's kind of my go-to bracelet when I feel like an outfit needs something, but doesn't need a statement piece. Phew, that was long. Let me think a little more about it, maybe I can wittle it down to a more manageable and easier to follow formula. :)

Ana,
You have such a chic style, I am so inspired by how pulled together and stylish you look every day. You do seem to have a similar style to Angie (bright color, feminine with edge and super polish. I love all outfits. I think the red trench and England sweater is one of my favorites. I also love the dress over clams with yellow shoes. The jean jacket over printed dress reminds me of something I would wear! Perfect week!!

Ana would you like some of our cooler weather! Our highs have been in the 40's and 50's for the last few days and we even had snow this week!

Count me in as another one who is totally enthralled by your sense of style - you really have developed such an effortless, elegant way of dressing. I love that paisley dress - I am such a sucker for paisley!!!

Oh - are you going for a haircut ,I want to see the new you!I know your hair is already short ,but cutting the bangs will change things up for you!

Ana, every day was wonderful! And I think I might have to try to find that BCBG skirt - that is gorgeous.

I have to tell you that I love seeing your outfits in the blog format with more explanation of the weather, how you chose your outfit, and how you felt about it. It's so interesting.

It's hard to choose, but my favorites are the gray tunic/clamdiggers from Oct 9th, and the cobalt/black outfit from Oct 14th. You look so polished.

The weather has been all over the place lately. It ranged from 70s and rainy up to 99 and muggy, so my outfits seem kind of random. I'm hoping that it will be cool from here on out, I'm getting very tired of my summer clothing. :)
