Lizzie Garrett Mettler has been exploring and defining tomboy style on her blog since May 2010. Now, with the Tomboy Style book, she has created a visual history of the evolution of the style and its icons. Drawing inspiration from tomboy pioneers like Katherin Hepburn and Jane Birkin, and capturing the essence of the tomboy – who “is often identified by clothing, although what makes her wholly so is an inherent sense of confidence, rebelliousness, and adventure”.
