Here’s a selection of camisoles, many of which have worked well on my clients. None of the styles have a shelf bra, so the idea is that you wear your bra underneath them. Most of the styles are cotton-rich, but fits and lengths do differ. There are plenty of colour options so take your pick.
Personally, I don’t want my camisole to hang too long because I like to tuck it into my bottoms, which keeps it smooth and secure. I also like it to feel snug against my body and breathable, so cotton-rich is best. I wear a camisole 99% of the time — even in hot weather — because I find the feeling of soft snug cotton against my skin very comforting.
- BP Stretch Camisole (Juniors): I've been wearing this camisole for ten years and replenish as needed. It's VERY comfortable, cotton-rich, fits well and launders well. It runs small and the cut is narrow so size up. There is plenty of length for tall gals and you can't beat the $12 price.
- Hanro Seamless V-Neck Camisole: A luxurious camisole with a handy V-neck. Very silky and gorgeous to the touch.
- Eileen Fisher Scoop Neck Silk Camisole (Regular & Petite): A silk camisole made of a thick fabrication. It can work as an outer garment without layers, it's THAT substantial.
- Jockey Women's Staycool Reversible Tank: A cotton-rich camisole that keeps you cool with a reversible neckline.
- Jockey Women's Tops Supersoft Camisole: It doesn't get softer than this camisole. SUPER cozy and comfortable.
- Yummie By Heather Thomson 'Stephanie' Two-Way Smoothing Tank (2 for $58): A camisole with a gentle contouring integrity. Does not suck the living daylights out of you.
- Nordstrom Cotton Blend Tank: A basic cotton-rich tank with a built-up shoulder that covers bra straps under ultra sheer tops.
- Yummie By Heather Thomson 'Stephanie' Two Way Shaping Tank (2 for $58): A gentle shaping camisole for the long-waisted or tall ladies.
- Hanro Women's Moments Cami: A lovely cami with peek-a-boo lace trim. Fab with tops that expose part of the lace.
- Halogen 'Absolute' Camisole (Regular & Petite): This camisole fits clients of all heights with a regular to large bust size. It's popular for good reason.
- Spanx 'Thinstincts' Camisole: A camisole that effectively smooths out midsection lumps and bumps for special occasions. It's constricting so not for everyday wear.
- Yummie By Heather Thomson 'Sylvie' Seamless Camisole (2 for $58): An invisible cami that gently shapes the midsection.
