I really like the idea of being able to try on Victorian costumes, Atlantia, very fun!
I’ve been really curious about the Tasse Museum, Gingko, I definitely want to visit next time I’m in Amsterdam. The Modemuseum (and the rest of Antwerp) are quite nice (*wink wink*;-), hopefully you’ll come visit another time.

Last month I visited the Tasse Museum in Amsterdam and especially enjoyed the historical perspective on handbags. One bag from medieval times had a curved metal framework on top with the goatskin bag suspended underneath, it looked quite modern! You start on the 4th floor with the earliest bags and descend down to the present day and special exhibits. They have a marvelous gift shop and I also enjoyed coffee and cake in their cafe looking out into the garden.

I had been hoping to also visit the fashion museum in Antwerp (and shops!) but we were staying with a family friend in Rotterdam who seemed feel that no one in their right mind would visit Antwerp when they could remain in Rotterdam. Sigh, next time.

I LOVE the Fashion Museum in Bath. They have this room where you can try on Victorian costumes. Corset, hoop skirt, dress, bonnet, the whole works. So much fun!
