You have to be thin to pull this off. Also, wearing heels look the best with this sort of pant.

I like the styling overall of these outfits, as well (Dsquared’s fall stuff always catches my eye!). I’m really really loving that gold pair of trousers in #3 and the whole look there. I don’t know about this length for fall as a full season here in the PNW, but certainly in early fall they’d work (and a lot of summer, for that matter). I’ve been looking for a really slim pair at this length, this gives me hope that I’ll find a pair soon!

Even at the time when I saw myself in photos I was horrified, so I have been totally with you in steering clear of cropped pants. However those pictures you are showing are SO cute! I am still skeptical due to my height, but I would love to try this look and see how it works on me.

I don’t quite see what Angie and others are seeing here. I actually like the ankle length in certain circumstances. I bought a suit with a cropped pant at Max Mara in Italy…sorry, my dear Angie, the trousers are longer than these. I don’t know if I’ve seen anyone wearing a cropped trouser suit in real life, but I’m going to give it a whirl. Fingers crossed.

The pink and gold pairs are closest to the length I find most flattering on me. My calves aren’t all that shapely and my ankles are too bony to pull off some of the other lengths, though I like them on others.
