Whenever I stop searching for something, I find it. I’ve been looking for fun, comfortable round-toe, low heeled tomato red booties for years, but nothing pleased my fussy feet. Then I accidentally stumbled across these little darlings and fell in love. I ordered them, popped them through their stylish paces and voila – another unexpected pair of 8-hour shoes. Brilliant.
Booties are an excellent alternative to ankle boots, loafers and oxfords. They’re warmer than pumps and ballet flats because you can wear them with cozy socks, but cooler than mid-calf or knee-high boots because there is less coverage. Perfect for warm Winter and cool Spring weather.

These booties are available in three colours (grey, red and black). They’re soft, cushioning and roomy in the toe box, meaning that the bootie might work for a slightly broader foot too. The two inch heel is ideal and the vintage ruching detail is charming. Suede is not a good idea in wet weather but the flat leather styles can be sufficiently waterproofed with waterproofing spray. I went up half a size to accommodate my long toes, an insole and thicker sock, but you might be fine ordering your regular footwear size. I hope they work out as well for you as they did for me.

I bought these for a trip to NYC in September. They are fantastic! So adorable and comfy. And I always get positive comments. I love wearing them with jeans and dresses.

Angie, you have such a knack for finding comfy and stylish footwear. You are NEVER wrong on that front. Needless to say, now that these have the Angie stamp of approval, I’ll be checking them out. Thank you for sharing your find!

I love booties! These are nice, especially the red and the grey one. I find low heel booties very comfortable and versatile, whereas booties with a higher heel look so fashion forward and up to date. And I appreciate the extra warmth they provide (it´s freezing cold in Europe – we went from thongs to boots in like two days…)

Angie you may just of solved part of my boot problem. These are fabulous and should be fine for our weather here.

Thanks for the validation, Sarah.
Oh Laura, the most difficult part of body to dress is my feet! I tend to spend a lot of time experimenting with shoes because I walk extensively in bad weather and I have to be comfortable. AND my shoes have to look fabulous. It’s always a tall, tall order.

I ordered these. Thanks for the tip. I’ve been looking for comfy booties. They’re so cute.

Fab indeed! Those are DARLING.

Angie, Zappos indicates that the heel is 2 3/4″. Is this accurate or is it really 2″? 2″ is my absolute limit under any circumstances.
Sadly my EM boots aren’t as comfy as I thought. My last two toes felt crushed by the end of a long day last time I wore them
I’m so bummed. I’m going to see if stretching helps. But it just goes to prove how fussy my feet really are. The Swanns didn’t make it to 8 hours either. I guess my feet are just hopeless!

Lovely booties! I am so glad you found another pair of booties which are kind to your feet. The grey pair reminds me a little bit of the pair I am wearing right now, except that my heel is at 3.5″. However they are still very, very comfortable. The red pair is calling my name, but I am pretending I am deaf at the moment.

Oh, dear, Angie. I can’t seem to click through to them, and I’m very interested in “checking them out” further. Would you mind please posting the link here, for people who are not very techhie? Thanks!

Those are so cute and so you. However now I think they are so all of us and will be selling out soon!
I have been looking for booties!

Those red ones are just so so pretty. I wish I can buy a pair like those here in my country.

Oh Kristen, I sense you make break your shoe ban!
Angie, I’m frantically googling to find a UK supplier. I can’t believe you have found another reasonably priced brand for your fussy feet.

These are so cute and the heels are so pointed I would never have thought they could be 8 hour shoes! Round toed shoes are a must for my feet–I will certainly check these out.

These are very pretty! Thank you for another shoe recommendation – all them have been incredibly comfortable, so I am sure these are too. I am adding them to my “if I go back to work” list.

Those are so cute and tempting, especially in tomato red.

Wow, these are so cute! I especially like the red version. I would be seriously tempted to get them if I weren’t on a complete shopping ban.

I’m confused. What’s the difference between a bootie and an ankle boot?
Posted on November 6th, 2009 at 6:47 pm
Maya, you’re feet aren’t hopeless! Have the EM’s stretched in the right place. I’ve found boots need to be worn in a little more than shoes, and you haven’t worn the EM boots that much yet as they were a new purchase at the end of Winter.
The heels are not 2 3/4 inches as the site suggests. (That’s if you measure the heel from a sloped angle). Straight up, they are 2 inches and that’s exactly what they feel like to me.
Mac, if you click on the booties themselves, you’ll get to the link.
Judy, ankle boots have more coverage on the ankle. Booties are more like shoes than ankle boots and do not come up over the ankles.
R&J, I hope you find them in the UK!

I’m new here. I’ve been lurking in the shadows for a while.
Angie, I would love to see what you wearing with these red booties!
Thanks!

…and they only go up to a size 9. Seriously? I’ve noticed that size 11 women’s shoes seem to have all but vanished, but when did size 10 become a specialty size? Totally disappointing. Why is it so hard to find cute, comfortable, affordable shoes bigger than size 9 these days? I guess my only solution is to cut off my toes? Great.

Question: Is it possible to wear booties like these (or ankle boots) with a knee length skirt, and, if so, how is it done?
Posted on November 8th, 2009 at 1:41 pm
Ooh, these are so cute Angie! Thanks for posting them. I LOVE the red ones, but really need some booties to wear with tights skirts and dresses, since I already have booties for pants. I think I may order the black, then.

I found size 10 at endless.com.

Re: AJoanna’s question. Now that I own these – I just got ‘em today – how do I wear them? They are so cute, and indeed very comfortable. I just need a little help.

Jane, I’m wearing my new red booties today. I wore them under blue boot cut jeans with a black and grey striped cowl neck sweater layered under a red and pink argyle waistcoat which I reined in with a black studded biker belt. I threw over a black trench and a cream handbag. Casual and comfortable for a day of errands.
Tess and Joanna, which colours did you get?
If you’re going to wear these booties with skirts and dresses, get the black and match them up with black hose to lengthen the leg line.
Posted on November 9th, 2009 at 3:31 pm
Angie, I got the grey. It’s a beautiful dark grey suede. I think I have matching tights. If I do, will the look work with skirts and dresses? (If the skirt color works, as well.)
Posted on November 9th, 2009 at 3:34 pm
Is the grey that everyone is referring to the clay? It looks grey on Zappos website but more brown on endless.com. I have been searching for a grey pair of grey shoes for a while, and these just might be it. Can you describe the color, since its appears different on the two websites. Thanks!
Posted on November 10th, 2009 at 1:15 am
Moni – they are sort of a brownish grey, but more grey than brown, They’re a little more grey than they look on Endless, but the color on the screen is close. The Zappos site was way off in terms of color.
Posted on November 10th, 2009 at 7:44 am
Yes,Tess! I think you should give the booties and matching tights look a bash. Hope you like the result

My order came in today. I can’t wait to wear them tomorrow. I ordered the black ones from Piper Lime since Zappos was out of my size. They feel great. Thanks for the recommendation.

Angie:
Many thanks for the terrific recommendation of these fab booties! I received my pair and wore them all day today. Even cooked dinner in them. Really comfortable and stylish shoes. They are like wearing slippers, seriously.
I still love those great Franco Sarto booties you recommended last year during a Nordstrom annual sale. I ended up ordering them in another color after loving my original pair so much. But these! These are gems. Thanks for sharing with your readers. You haven’t disappointed yet when it comes to personally recommending very pretty shoes for demanding feet. Thanks again!

I ordered my regular size in the grey and they really are so cute, comfy, and with plenty of wiggle room for the toes.
I personally wanted a more grey color than the clay so I have sent them back and I am going to take the leap and get the red to wear with bootcuts jeans. I already have plenty of black shoes.
They are a good price, good looking, and feel great. What’s not to love?
