I have been looking for skinny jeans for a while, and I ordered these as soon as I got the post.

I just got these in the mail today and they are fabulous!!! Minor complaint is that they are a little too loose in the top, but that does not matter because the top will most likely be covered and I have an invisibelt to keep it in place. It fits my legs wonderfully AND it looks magnificent streamlined when tucked into boots. AND BONUS – they fit me at mid-rise, which means no muffin top!HUZZAH! The long search is over!

I read this post and these seemed like the answer to my comfort and sleekness prayers as an alternative to regular leggings and especially for regular jeans tucked into boots.

I found some in the junior department at TJ Maxx for just $12.99 a pair (same look and same fabric content as the pair featured in the Nordstroms photo). I bought 2 pairs. I am very excited! They look absolutely great worn as Angie suggested and are very, very comfortable. They really do look like I am wearing skinny jeans, but no boot-bunching and oh-so comfy. I am a happy girl.

Great idea, and great addition to my casual wear.

Skinnies are unflattering on me, so this is not my cup of tea, but I think these are very convincing-looking as jeans. If I saw these on the street I would never think that the person was wearing leggings.

i love how jeans have gotten stretchier and tighter to the point of evolving into leggings! i like the look so long as bottoms are kept covered

Now that I have a few longer length tops in my closet, these might the leggings/jeans for me. It would be great to have a pair of pants that don’t bunch up around my ankle when I put on boots. Can’t wait to try them on!!

Antje and Laura, I know exactly what you mean. However, these particular denim leggings look a lot like jeans – not leggings (even though they feel like leggings). That’s why the pocket detailing is important. It offers more structure that way. I don’t think you could “pull on“ pants made of this type of fabric if the waist band was made of elastic. You need the fly front and button closure. But I have seen the style of “jeggings” you’re speaking of and those don’t get my vote precisely because of the reasons you have mentioned.

Mamark, they look like real denim irl. All you need is boots with chunky heels and a longer tunic top to wear this look with a bottom heavy figure.

Tanya, the premium versions are well worth a look.

R&J, try and keep the lycra content below 4%.

What I’m not sure about is why all the attention to detailing back and front pockets, a front closure, etc. if they’re intended to be covered up? I think the fact that they are so detailed might send some people the wrong message on how these should be worn.
