I think this is a very cute casual look, and I like how everyone in the collage gave it their own individual twist. For me, it’s a bit too hot right now to even think about wearing tights or leggings, but it could be a great option for fall weather.

I wore tights and a short, swingy dress to the airport the other day, and even my almost 60, conservative immigrant mother loved them! They were comfortable for the plane (which is often chilly) but cool enough for outside. Since she is still quite youthful and slim, we’re going to shopping to get her a pair this weekend with an above the knee tunic or dress. So exciting!
To the naysayers, I agree, it looks funky at first. But as Angie always suggests, try it on yourself first and see if you like it on you. You might be surprised. I have athletic, almost stock calves and thought one had to be really lean and leggy, but I was wrong.
I buy my tights for about $7 at target. My roommate likes more sheer tights, which she buys for about $10 at Express. You can get them at Urban Outfitters, H&M or the gap as well. Fall/winter weight tights are best at American apparel or alternative apparel, online
