Fantasia nailed it — “reality shoes.” I hope you know (and suspect you do, Angie) how much it means to me/us to have you finding shoes that we can wear without either shame at their dowdiness or dismay at their discomfort. I got my first pair of Swanns this week (shopper alert: DSW has them online) and almost cried in gratitude at how comfy they were during a running-around day yesterday. Thank you, thank you!

Besides the cute flat gladiator style shown, Born has many other great styles of summer sandals. In particuar, I find they thongs and slides with “height” — 2.5 or 3″ wedge heels — to be really cool and comfy.

I hear you, budget constraints are unfortunately a way of life. But in America shoes are discounted left, right and centre especially when you order online and enter a discount coupon. I got my KC strappy wedges for $54 – quite different to $120.

That Dansko Sissy sandal has been on my wish list all summer. I have the Sela in green and absolutely love it (from same collection of soft foobed Danskos). I’m hoping to find the Sissy on sale at the end of the summer!
