You’ve GOT to be kidding, right? When I first read this, I had to do a double-take because I thought it was a joke. Angie, while you’d look great wearing a paper bag, this trend is not for me. Wore it the first time (in the ’80’s) so like Sher, Melody, LollyD and several other previous commenters, I will gladly PASS on this one.

Love the first outfit! I like the look with your pumps, but something about them with the sandals doesn’t grab me. I think I would prefer tights to stirrups with the sandals. Which brought a question to mind. You mention that the perfect length for tights is from just below the know to fattest part of the calf. Stirrup go down to the ankle. If this works, why doesn’t ankle length tights work?

Went to Ngate mall. looked at nordies, macy and ann taylor. nordies had a straight ankle version, but that’s it. i looked in hosiery dept–is that the department you found yours in? i recently purchased 2 dresses that are just above the knee–which is not good for me–but i loved other aspects of the dresses–so the legging solution is perfect–now i just need to find them. thank you so much! i can keep these great dresses after all.

Just because something had its first incarnation in the 80s doesn’t mean it can’t be done differently today, and done well. I love this look on you, Angie, like you said it adds visual interest, its practical and its affordable. And you named my favorite leggings wearer, Vera Wang!!

Those stirrup leggings look much better than the ones I remember seeing in the 80’s. Maybe because they are close fitting and look more like tights? They are very cute with those dresses! The ones from the 80s were looser and the stirrup caused the leggings to stretch taut vertically, so the person looked like they had straight tin-soldier legs–not flattering at all.

Great style, Angie, love the black dresses with the stirrups, but the yellow one makes too much contrast to me, and a bit confused, when saw the black bra straps showing, too. Was it a small error, or strongly wanted to be so?
Cause I think, could be especially put together for ballancing the contrast with a pop of colour(black) on the torso, and to make it more casual. What’s the truth?

Love your blue nails, I have mines all over the year also blue, a darker, indigo colour:-). Never liked bright red, or pale/transparent colours on my feet…:-( and chock brown is also a favorite.

Angie, thankyou for the inspiration by showing us how to wear the leggings. They look great on you and Tam and Maya.
I also want to say that I am just becomng familiar with Vera Wang’s designs because of your mention on this forum. She is awsome. Thankyou for those of us who are not spring chickens any longer.
