Earrings – I have always been known for my big earrings. I have a wide selection, but I tend to fall back on the same few pairs. For work I have a few pairs of various-sized hoops I alternate, and outside of work I wear my large silver peace signs a lot. I also have a cartlige (sp?) piercing, and generally wear a diamond stud in that.

Nail polish – is this really an accessory? I tend to do my nails once or twice a week, and often in bright or dark colors. I have nice hands with long fingers and I like to accentuate them, but I find rings uncomfortable.

Bags – Itty bitty, big enough for the kitchen sink, and all sizes in between, in various colors, though I tend towards leather in various shades of brown. And I have a relatively new dark green one that I love.

Shoes – Recently took to trying flats, but generally prefer heels of about 3 inches. Boot for winter, sandals for summer. Just got a nice pair of cowboy boots that I love over skinny pants.

Tights – Black or in bright colors. Tights didn’t make the list, but I do like them.

Necklaces – Also didn’t make the list. I like long necklaces for work, but that’s a new enough look for me that I’m not sure if it will stick.

I also wear necklaces and rings, though there used to be a period when I wore a lot of them, I sort of fell out of love with them recently.

I don’t care much for gloves, hats, scarves, I own the absolute necessary minimum of them, just to save myself from cold. I don’t wear a watch.

I also wear the same glasses, watch, and barrette every day. I wear the same one or two belts (and shoes) every day. I have summer purse and a winter purse. None of these makes a statement and they are chosen to disappear.

What I think is prettiest (regardless of practicality):
1. Hats, big
2. Earrings, dangly
3. Necklaces, the above and also long and chunky
4. Rings
5. Capes – mwahaha!

and a distant fifth is belt, something I have started experimenting with. Sadly I bought a rather small size and consequently haven’t made it right through the day with one yet!

1. Multi-strand necklaces (mostly for work)
2. Statement necklaces – pendants & such (for work & everything else)
3. Mid-chest & Long necklaces (some for work & also fun for going out)
4. Bangles (ton’s of them I’m mixing & matching) – this is more recent for me
5. Statement/Cocktail ring – I wear one every day on my right hand

Things that didn’t make my list & why:
~ Wedding rings – they are a staple for me so I don’t consider an accessory
~ Earrings – I have several & wear every day but I’ve discovered I’m a necklace girl at heart!
~ Skinny belts – this could have been #6
~ Purses – I get one great one & carry it for quite sometime (going on 2 yr’s now for my Coach – it’s probably time…sigh sigh) I don’t like to purse shop!
~ Dainty necklaces – these are more of a summer thing for me I will layer 2 simple one’s up when it’s really hot out because I feel naked without a necklace.
~ Other bracelets – I wear them all the time but could go without if I absolutely had to compared to the other things…Unless you count putting 2 together to make a statement necklace.
~ Watches – I have a few but seem to get a favorite & wear it every day.
~ Brooches – they are so fun I love the look but don’t tend to wear the one’s I have a ton.
~ Extenders – these could have actually been one of my top 5. I use them ALL the time for different necklaces (1 or 2).

Encore – post some pics of what you have & I will see what I can do. Things are really hectic for me right now at work & home so please don’t think I’m blowing you off if I don’t get to it right away….

I almost said “nail polish” instead of belts. I finally started painting my fingernails the same fun colors as my toes, and I LOVE the sophistication and well, polish, it gives to my outfits. My nails are short because I am on a computer all day long, but they look great regardless.
