The hook and eye closure is part of the genius, Mary. It prevents any type of gaping because of the added facing. I’m not well endowed but I have shirts with hook and eye closures and they are fabulous.

Wow where have you been all my life!!!! I started sewing again so I could try to figure out how to make a woven blouse that would fit but I just don’t have the time!!! I can’t wait to check this out!

I’m a bit puzzled by the hooks and eyes – if a pattern has been designed with enough fullness to go over and around the bust, I don’t understand why this is necessary – I still want to give it a try!
