Sarah, I agree with you on the cutt offs. I don’t own any. Since you brought up jeans, I was also surprised that many pictures showed the jeans rolled up to a few inches above the ankle. Angie, isn’t this this is contrary to your advise? I guess this is the way to extend the jeans to heels and flats.

Also, I saw a lot of the shirts tucked into jeans. Is this back?

Thanks for the answer, Eva and Angie. I need to pick up some things at the grocery store anyway, so I’ll look for the January issue there. I hope they still have some left. If not, I’ll look at the bookstore and library. Thanks for the link, Julia! At lease I got to look at these now. Hopefully I can find a copy of the magazine so I can take it home with me and remember them all.

What’s with the cuffed jeans? They used cuffed jeans over and over in the “11 ways to wear your favorite jeans.” I thought each outfit would look better if the jeans had been left un-cuffed. The only time I cuff my jeans is when I haven’t got them shortened yet but I’m dying to wear them. Somehow I find that cuffs make legs look shorter. Am I alone in this?

Ryan, the point of the article is that you can consider combining certain pieces if you have them on hand. Purchasing several pieces to create the outfits is not implied.

I always layered blouses under my shift dress. And when the weather warms up I’ll be sure to try some of my tees with waistcoat and converse.
