I’m glad everyone got great Santa gifts. The only clothing item Santa gave me was a pair of gloves. But he gave me permission to shop! My big Santa gift was a new camera. It will take up to 40 continuious shots in 1 minute! Not needed for fashion pix, but great when taking pictures of my pups doing their flips when catching the Frisbee. I also got lots of yummy candy. I will need to work our hard to burn those calaries!

Hubbie did well with his Christmas clothing gifts. And the pups got toys to keep them happy for a long time!

Tanya, Tamara, Patience, BLB and Ana, I can’t wait to see your goodies on the forum. They sound fabulous! I love nerdy and domesticate Santa too. Looks like he did his fair share of keeping us happy.

Looks like Santa hasn’t quite finished yet either. Missjulied, I’m still waiting for bluefly Santa to knock on my door (hopefully today). The big thaw has started. It’s slushy and messy everywhere, but I’m thrilled temperatures are finally above freezing. Cheers to a delayed Christmas!

I found Doctor Who DVDs under the tree (erm? yeah, self-confessed nerd here) and I might be getting gift certificates for when I get back to the states (my family lives overseas), so I am more than set. Honestly, what thrilled me most was that my mother loved the new netbook computer that my brother, dad and I joined forces to get her. Her previous laptop is way too big for her to really travel with, but now she has something to take with her when visiting my (very elderly) grandparents, who need her often.

Glad everyone had a lovely Christmas!

I’m glad Santa has been so good to everyone! Santa was also very kind to me this year. A very geeky year though! Cordless mouse, digital camera, PDA for work and a My Book (for Santa and I to share).

Santa knows how fussy I am about clothes and so I had picked out the clothes he got me: a basic grey tshirt, running shorts, kaftan-esque coverup that is really a shirt that I plan on wearing to the beach once we move in 2 days, and yet another SS plaid shirt (no more plaid I promise)!!

Another Santa will be brining back some lovely stuff from Vietnam for me in about a week and a half, so that will be exciting too (although santa may need to ship some of that back so it could take a while longer)!

As for post-Christmas bargains, I’ll be too busy moving, setting up our new house and then lazing by the beach to do any I think. I am saving up my shopping for what I hope will work out to be an exciting April though – stay tuned for details!!!

Santa was in top form at my house this year. I feel very lucky. I received a super cute Roots hoodie in a magenta and black toile print with toggle buttons and faux-sheepskin lined hood; a beautiful black wool cloche with tulle and crystal detail; two great dramatic scarves; a delicate personal-sized white tea pot and matching mug with a lovely graphic detail, to keep at my desk for work and writing; a crystal, stone and pearl chunky pendant necklace made by a local jeweller; money for myy “puffer fund”; a very dramatic and unusual art print I’ve loved for two years; and small things like makeup, body lotion, books, tea and chocolate that were all perfect. Wow.

At the top of my to-shop-for list is a stylish puffer. YLF has given me very high standards so I’ll only buy one if I find something perfect. With the rest of my gifted money I am trying to decide whether to get a pair of classic red patent ballet flats (Clark’s Artisan Demure style) or a pair of the same silver Docs that Tanya has. I will probably also order a big dramatic flower pin from Etsy.

Like Shiny, I don’t ask for clothes for Christmas as I prefer to do it myself. (I always splurge on a handbag except this year it came a little early. ) My DH would not at all enjoy buying clothes for me anyway except for jewelry. This year I got a double burner stove top griddle– I love pancakes– and some lovely handmade gifts from my children.

As far as after Christmas sales go– I’ve got my eye on some grey patent booties and a faux leather snakeskin bag. I’m dying to get another pair of tall boots for tucking or not but I’m really trying to hold off as our winter will only last another couple months. Maybe I can live vicariously through Tanya if she finds some grey flat boots. I find that the things I really like are never on super sale and I’d rather not just go looking for something to buy. I’d love to see what knitwear everyone finds.

Tanya, sounds like you got a great haul. I think Angie posted some of those lamb slippers, right? They are adorable! It’s usually too warm here for slippers, but I love them. Will you post pictures in the forum of your gifts? I’m intrigued by your fur leopard hat and scarf.

I got a red handbag for Christmas! It’s bright patent and is sort of shaped like an upside triangle with zippers on the outside. I like it, it’s not too big. I’m very happy since this fills a huge hole in my wardrobe.

For after Christmas bargain shopping, I’m hoping to pick up some layering pieces for skirts and dresses–cropped jackets and shorter cardigans–and shoes. I just ordered a pair of cheetah print ankle boots! They will only work under pants, but I’m excited none the less. I love cheetah print!

Santa was pretty nice to me this year: in addition to the early gifts of silver Docs and 7’s charcoal pants, I also got the black Halfinger lamb sleepers ( so happy about these), bunch of chocolates, Borders’ gift certificates to buy plenty of books. I was also told that there is a surprise gift that is yet to arrive.
I also got some things I am not sure about: a fake fur leopard hat and real (urgh) black fur scarf!

On my sales shopping list is knitwear, hats, skinnies ( medium blue, grey, and black-black – my current ones are starting to really fade), a puffer if I find the right one and maybe some flat grey boots if I find those too.
