As a single woman creativity is key here.
My Christmas list is what I buy for myself during the year and put away in a closet. When the day nears I take it all out, by then I have no clue what is in most of the bags…Some Christmas mornings I have been known to yell out loud while running towards the gifts…it is my recreation of Christmas mornings past.
Both my parents were Buyers(Saks, Bonwit Teller) at one point of their careers so it is literally in my blood.

Of course, I also wish for world peace.

* Leopard print flats…without any bells and whistles! I think Michael Kors had a pair last year, but I can’t find any cute ones now. Santa, help!

* Gift cards: Sephora. Joann Fabrics, Nordstrom, etc etc etc

* Electric tea kettle — putting my cups in the microwave is so lame!

* Two more pairs of my favorite David Kahn jeans in different washes.

* Continued health and happiness for 2009.

the boots are a total wish. not only are they out of my price range completely, but my size isn’t available either. but they are gorgeous.

i saw a dell box in our christmas trunk (as in the back of the car). so i’m guessing my present is not the hat i was asking for. however, i am thankful that DH thought of me. one year . . .

My dream list would be:

- A really soft pair of black leather gloves. We moved and I can’t find our gloves box… and I didn’t have a good pair anyway.

- A perfect menswear white shirt for layering (the ones at Gap in XS lok fantastic on me for what I want to do with them).

- Black knee-high leather riding boots.

- A men’s watch.

- Pajamas.

- A 3/4 sleeve black wrap dress.

- Gourmet foods and cooking things – I have the same cravings as many of you foodies here!

Wow, long list… I must be greedy! Can you see I’m into the menswear items at the moment? The thing is, we just bought our house and are only doing stockings this year. But Boxing Day sales are a big tradition with my family, so I think I’ll end up with some of these items anyway.

I would love:

A new watch. I gave up wearing watches for a long time since I always have my cell phone with me. But I’m tired of digging for my phone all the time.

A cashmere scarf. I have a gazillion lovely scarves, but this recent RIDICULOUS Seattle weather made it clear that none of my scarves are warm enough!

Black Burberry short trench. (It never hurts to dream)

Calendar from Anthropolgie. Someone ALWAYS buys me a calendar. I just wish they’d buy me one there since they’re pretty.
