You make a good point Cathy. Celebrities often have a village of stylists helping them dress and groom daily. And sometimes they get caught when “the village” is off for the day, which is often frightening. It’s easy to look fab all done up in a dress and heels at an event. Having everyday style when you’re pressed for time, sleep deprived and on a tight budget is a lot more difficult and there are few celebrities that get that right.

Ditto on Christina, Meredith. Rock stars get style leeway and she cleaned up nicely.

This is going to sound negative but I think that even though clothes are better this decade somehow the glitzy rich look has gotten to be too coveted and as a result a lot of celebs look bad no matter how much help they have.

I agree about Audrey and Grace, but the thing is that anyone could get a stylist to put together outfits of the clothes they wore. The thing I’d like to see someone do is to develop their own consistent, impeccable style comparable to Audrey’s or Grace’s, but for modern times. I can’t think of anyone who has achieved that, though someone like Jennifer Aniston gets close.

I just don’t think there’s ever going to be any celebs that can duplicate the grace and class that Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly had. If I was rich I’d hire a tailor to make me outfits like they wore in “Rear Window” and “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”

I think that Madonna has really come a long way with fashion and would not include her in this category. Just the other day I saw a photo of her at Fashion Week and she looked amazing….loved the dress and would love to have one just like it!

Christina Aguilera used to have the craziest, worst style on the red carpet. I always thought it was a shame, as I think she has one of the best voices in the world. It seems as though she has hired a stylist to help sort all that out, because the vintage look she’s been sporting is a vast improvement over whatever it was she was doing before.
