I’ve bought so many slippers over the years. They always tear at the bottoms and look raggedy by season’s end. My dog has so many “dog toys” because of this.

I throw mine in the washing machine on a cold cycle, and they come out looking like new. I find this also helps shrink them back to size–they tend to get a bit stretched out after wearing them for a few months.

My daughter gave me my first pair of adorable lamb Haflinger slippers in cream three and a half years ago. After 2 1/2 years of daily wear the insole looked a bit ratty, so I ordered a new pair, which I have worn daily since then. They look great, except they are a bit soiled.
Is it true they can be washed? If so, how?
Because I absolutely love them so much, I just ordered a cream pair and a brown pair from Amazon. They are so incredibly comfortable, and since I am a knitter, I just love the lambs.

Where in Seattle can I find the Haflinger brand sold? Belinda mentioned finding them in 2 specialty shoe stores.

I am on my 2nd pair of Haflinger……a style that has cork between the felt inside and the rubber sole….great arch support, no middle seam, and the color is navy. The boiled wool does last and is cool in summer, and warm in winter. I absolutely love them!! (Found locally at two specialty shoe stores.)

Lovely and congratulations budget babe. You might be waiting forever though because one of our almost eight year old Yorkshire Terriers plays with my slippers daily. There doesn’t seem to be any damage, just the odd soggy spot!
