I'm with Nicole about this being a timely post.

Because I don't buy much, I have alot of stuff that's tired looking, both in style and in condition. That's both good and bad news: I don't have a bunch of stuff I don't like and I can afford to go shopping. But I really need to remind myself to stick to tailored stuff, so I can feel like myself.

What else is good news for me? My b-day is the beginning of October. If I really get stuck for fall clothes, I'll have more $$ then!

This entry has perfect timing.

I was starting to feel a little depressed (and old) because the current styles don't really work for me. I've yet to try on a trapeze or empire cut that doesn't make me look pregnant. And the tight, straight pants (or leggings) aren't really my thing. And to be honest with you all, I really don't like all this metalic accessorizing. The only thing I'm liking about this season is the color and the more feminine dressing.

I have yet to buy myself anything new for the fall. But once I do find time to hit the shops (school starts in 2 days!), I'll be more capable of looking for accessories that will make the rest of my wardrobe pop!

I'm totally with you on investing in a great pair of shoes. IMO, shoes can make or break an outfit. It may be breaking every fashion rule ever, but have you ever form an outfit around a shoe?!?! I have!!! I need to get a few pairs for the upcoming fall. A couple of co-workers said Lord & Taylor has some great selections. I have to go soon before it starts getting cold!
