[...] Of course they can. Nicole Kidman was breathtaking wearing red in “Moulin Rouge” and more recently in her flaming red couture gown at the Oscars. Redheads like Cate Blanchett and Julianne Moore often wear red and look absolutely sensational. [...]

I am surprised that no one has mentioned Helen Mirren: age appropriate dressing at its best.

I LOVED Penelope. My husband and i voted her most fab in every way! And, we also thought that Helen Mirren was a beautiful example of what the over 50 crowd should look like!

Ditto to all your comments Christie. Having natural, healthy, cancer-free, moisturized, wrinkle-free, glowing skin increases your style quotient no matter what colour it is. Whether you are dark like Beyonce, olive like Penelope or creamy like Cate - keeping your skin it's natural colour just seems best. I have white Nordic skin so this new trend suits me down to the ground!

Looking through all of the photos from the Oscars, I noted that milky-white skin and curves were the look du jour. I hope this continues to be the trend. I would love to see more Reese, Kate, and Penelope (who is naturally dark, not fake-dark). With all of the talk about the super-skinny models, we seem to have missed the movement in Hollywood (at least among the late 20s and up crowd) toward natural skin and natural curves. This is a trend I hope we can all get behind!
