I have curved hips and my thighs are bigger than the rest of me and I think I look AWESOME in skinny jeans. It's a very sexy look, granted - I tend to wear straighter, looser trousers to work. Actually I think they look better on women with some more curve (not that the straight-hipped ladies don't look nice too). And overall size isn't a factor IMO, I see plus girls rocking them and think it looks great. I never understood people saying that you have to 'hide' your big hips and thighs by wearing flared pants.. all humans are extremely tapered from their hips down to their ankles and I think it looks good.

What height should shorter people wear? I am 5′3″, and want to wear my boots tucked into my skinny jeans. Should I be wearing mid-calf slouchy boots, or should I be wearing boots to my knees? What will make me look taller and slimmer?

I recently brought a pair of skinny jeans, my figure is quite skinny but i have huge hips! (and the jeans seem to sag around my bum a bit!) i love wearing stilletto heels (pointy toe) but i'm sure i have had some very odd looks wearing them together, is this look wrong? PLEASE HELP!

Skinnies are pants that are narrow at the hem - somewhere between 14 and 17 inches at the bottom of the hems. You can absolutely where skinnies when you are a little curvier everywhere! For two reasons:

It's all about the top that you wear with the skinnies and it's the only option when you tuck pants into knee high boots.

Read these 2 blog entries for a better idea of what I mean:

What exactly makes something a "skinny?" Can an hourglass like me pull this off?

[...] I have been preaching my perfect pants length mantra for as long as I can remember because it’s a fashion faux pas that I feel especially strongly about. While the default perfect pants length (when hems skim the surface of the ground) works beautifully for boot-cuts, flares and wide-legged pants and jeans; it won’t work for skinnies, tapered-legs and super straight-leg pants and jeans. Narrow pant-leg openings scrunch at the ankle and over your heels instead of skimming the surface of the ground no matter how long their in-seam. It’s therefore fab to wear these types of long pants ankle length. This is an acceptable and ultra fashion forward look. And thus far the only exception to my very rigid rule. [...]
